Fingerprint on the Move© Identification

Is it possible to take a picture of the hand surface skin (palm, digits, finger tips) and use various segments for positive identification of a person?

This lecture will present the research and development of new methodology we have developed to carry out such a task. The research is the basis for the next generation scanners where the a high resolution of the hand from distance is taken and sued to extract the minutiae patterns which will be used for positive identification without touching the device; Presented at International Association for Identification 96^th International Educational Conference, August 2011.

Advances in Stand-off Biometric

The outcome and deliverables of the project on Standoff Biometrics investigation from our US Department of Homeland Security contract is presented in this lecture. The objective of the DHS project is to develop the methodology as well as implement the test and evaluation framework for assessing the maximum standoff ranges in which multiple biometrics can be captured while still ensuring accuracy in determining an individual’s identity. We will cover the technical innovations in the Fingerprint on the Move™ (FOM); Hand Match Identification™ (HaMID), high resolution imaging of face and iris, and Biometrics Identification on the Move system™ (BIMS); Presented at Biometrics 2011 Conference, London UK October 2011.
